Solaraze gel was the finger wart cure but....

Solaraze gel cured my finger warts but it was not a cure by itself. My dermatologist prescribed this gel for my finger warts. There was some previous success but ultimately it was not for finger warts.

The first giant tube did not help at all. I put it on twice a day and covered with band-aids. nothing.

Months later I still had finger warts.

The key was the tape. When I switched from band-aids to Nexcare tape on just one finger the finger warts started to disappear.

I didn't believe it. I had to experiment with additional warts. Today, I am finger warts free after 2 to 3 years of suffering from finger warts.

Tell your own dermatologist. Solaraze gel plus over the counter nexcare tape. Do it. Cure your finger warts.

Another duct tape myth article. No cure.

An article about duct tape and finger wart. Boo. The old duct tape myth. I tried this and nothing. I walked around with duct tape on my fingers for week. My sister in law, who is a nurse, guessed what I was up to when she saw the tape.

Feel free to try it but it is a waste of time...and tape

Tape helped cure my finger warts

This was the key product which helped cure my finger warts. I had advice from my dermatologist that during treatment my finger warts should be occluded (covered) BUT I was using band-aids. I got sick of band-aids and my warts so I tried this tape.

IT WORKED! For the first time my finger warts got smaller.

Finger Wart Information on LiveStrong

Here is an article on LiveStrong.com. It offer three cures for Finger Warts:
Salicylic Acid, Cryosurgery and, Duct tape.

Sorry to say that none of those worked for my finger warts. Salicytic acid is a just a painful process of burning your skin with acid hoping to irritate the wart. I don't wish this on anyone. LiveStrong incorrectly describes cryosurgery as painless. This is also incorrect. It hurts. Alot. It is just another typpe of burning but with cold instead of hot.

The article is correctly points out that the duct tape cure for finger warts has tw conflicting studies with the 2006 debunking the 2002 study.

also, I tried duct tape on my finger warts. Didn't work.

Aldara: Didn't cure my finger warts

Aldara is a white cream that comes in tiny little foil packkets. It isn't designed specifically for finger warts. It is actually for the, ahem, other kind of warts. Nonetheless two of my dermatologists thought they'd give it a whirl to cure my finger warts.

Aldara didn't work.

You should know that during the 3 years of treatment my finger warts were spreading.

Freezing didn't work

Ouch that hurts. Two different dermatologists tries freezing the warts on my fingers. It is essentially cold burning of your skin. It hurts then, it hurts when it heals, and it hurts (my feelings) when nothing good happens.

Over the counter freezing products like this freeze away are expensive and didn't work either.
